Salted delicacies :

 

The olive: the olive oil is always associated with the South cooking. A lot of mills are still working in Vaucluse. Taste the tapenades of Provence.

The truffle: you should know that the Vaucluse is the top producing department of France.You can go every morning from mid-November to mid-March to Valreas, Carpentras and Richerenches markets. Restaurants addresses are at your disposal.

The garlic: No Provence cooking without garlic! The capital of garlic is Piolenc, not far from Orange. Festival held on the last week-end of August.


Côte du Rhône wines

At the door of Provence, Orange is also located at the heart of the Côte du Rhône vineyards. Well-known names of villages: Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Rasteau, Séguret. The house of wines of Côte du Rhône allows the discovery tours of wines (see partners sites).
